Michelle currently performs with a variety of groups including the Vancouver Opera Orchestra, Pacific Symphonic Wind Ensemble, West Coast Chamber Music Series and various free-lance concerts in Vancouver, BC. Michelle has an active teaching studio including students at St. Georges School, as well as in her home studio. She is sought after as a clinician for educational workshops with students of all ages, including regular workshops with the Vancouver Symphony Music Connects series, and the Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra. She currently conducts the Vancouver Clarinet Choir, which brings together talented amateur adult clarinetists. Michelle studied music at the University of Toronto with Joaquin Valdepenas, and at the Aspen Music School with Ted Oien and Bil Jackson. Michelle was the founding music director of the Vancouver Cadenza Community Band and enjoys conducting and leading musical workshops throughout BC. Michelle is currently designing some really fun, interactive, educational clarinet-playing materials, which should be available on iBooks by the end of 2012.
