Returns

Evaluating and purchasing Backun products should be simple. All orders come with a 15 day trial period, which takes effect when the package arrives to you. Should you choose to return any product, we expect your package to be postmarked and in the mail before your trial expires.

In addition, it is extremely important to follow the procedure below:

Please also make sure that a copy of your original invoice, including the invoice number and list of the products being returned, is included in the package. If no information is included and no return name and shipping address properly labeled on the box, your products may not be returned, or the return and subsequent refund may be delayed. 

U.S. and Canadian customers, please use only USPS, Canada Post, or FedEx for returning products to Backun. These carriers offer safe and reliable delivery services. International customers can use their local mail service, or FedEx, for returns. Please DO NOT use UPS, DHL, or Purolator as these companies rely on third-party brokerage firms that accrue high taxes and duties. Please note that products being returned to Backun Musical are the responsibility of the purchaser or trial holder until they are received at Backun Musical Services. For this reason, we strongly recommend you use a shipping service that offers tracking information.

If any shipping duties or taxes are incurred in receiving your product returns, these fees will be billed back to you, the customer, or deducted from the credit due. For this reason, please DO NOT VALUE THE PRODUCTS AT FULL RETAIL COSTS (example: a barrel should be valued at only $5). As well, please write the following on the commercial invoice: “Musical Instrument Parts Returning to Manufacturer After Trial/Evaluation Period.” The low value of the products will mean you will not be able to purchase insurance for the products; instead, please consider using a service that offers tracking information.

Please note that any damages or alterations to the product(s) will be billed to the customer.
