About

Tiago Santos is a clarinetist from Gançaria, Santarém, currently based in the Algarve region of Portugal. He holds a degree in Clarinet Performance from the University of Évora, where he is also pursuing a Master’s in Music Education, having studied under Dr. Étienne Lamaison and Dr. Ana Maria Santos.

He is a member of the Algarve Symphony Orchestra and collaborates with various chamber music projects, including Duo Batista & Santos, Lutosduet, among others.

He has taken part in masterclasses with renowned clarinetists such as António Rosa, Nuno Pinto, Paulo Gaspar, Étienne Lamaison, António Menino, Nuno Silva, and António Saiote, and regularly leads workshops and masterclasses across the country. In parallel, he has furthered his studies in orchestral conducting with conductors such as Alberto Roque, Mitchell Fennell, Navarro Lara, José Gomes, and Kodo Yamagishi.

Over the years, he has taught throughout the Algarve region, contributing to the evolutivon of numerous clarinetists. He currently teaches at the Conservatório de Musica e Arte de Lagos and at Questão Repetida.
