About
Dynamic and expressive, Diego Bermúdez holds the role of Principal Bass Clarinet with the State Opera Orchestra of Varna, Bulgaria. Whether performing on the opera stage or collaborating in intimate chamber ensembles, Diego brings a wealth of international experience to his playing. He has been a featured collaborator with the Galician Chamber Orchestra, the Municipal Band of A Coruña, and the Cannes National Orchestra.
Diego’s technical foundation was built during his Bachelor of Music studies at the Conservatory of Music of A Coruña and further elevated during his Master of Performance at Madrid's Centro Superior Katarina Gurska, where he studied with acclaimed instructors Xocas Meijide, Emilio Espasandín, and Cristo Barrios.
A dedicated Backun Artist, Diego’s distinct musical voice is powered by his Backun Essence Bb and A Clarinets, alongside his Backun Q Series Bass Clarinet.
