About

Wang Jing is a national Class-I Instrumentalist. Wang won the third prize at the first National Clarinet Competition and studied clarinet with Professor Zhang Wu at the Central Conservatory of Music Middle School from 1992 to 1998. Wang continued to pursue her studies overseas, having subsequently studied at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold (1999-2000) with Professor House and the Folkwang Universität der Künste (2001-2004) with Professor Lindner. Wang joined the Youth Symphony Orchestra at the Folkwang Universität der Künste as the Principal Clarinetist and obtained a master’s degree. Since 2004, Wang has performed with the China National Symphony Orchestra and toured the USA, Europe, South Korea, Japan, and other countries. Wang received great reviews for these performances, including state activities (70th Anniversary of the founding of PRC and 100th Anniversary of the founding of Communist Party) and the entertainment show for foreign affairs (state visit by the presidents of France, USA, South Korea, etc.) Wang has complied and published three clarinet textbooks on Rose, Cavallini, and Basset.
