Where it all began
Now discontinued, there is a reason we call this barrel the original Traditional: this is where it all began. An exotic wood body nestled between two integrated wooden rings brings unyielding response and even articulation to your clarinet. Many artists consider this barrel to be the optimal choice for solo and chamber music playing.
Specs: Grenadilla or cocobolo wood. Compatible with Bb and A clarinets.
Fit
Most instruments use Standard fit. Standard Plus is the same fit with a larger bore that's more free blowing. Many (but not all) Selmer Paris instruments use Selmer Paris fit.
Length
Most clarinets use a 66 or 65 mm barrel, but this varies by manufacturer. If you're happy with the tuning you'll want to order the same size as listed on your current barrel.
Wood
Cocobolo is red in appearance and offers a dark, full-bodied tone. Grenadilla is brown or black and offers a more focused sound with increased ping and projection.
